LATE NIGHT WEIRDNESS AT MUSEUMS ACROSS NI
Seedhead Arts was the creative lead on ‘The Late Shift’, a series of after-hours, adults-only events that take place in museums across Northern Ireland during the Halloween season.
All of the events are specifically designed to attract those who wouldn’t normally visit museums and were missing out on heritage treasures right on their doorsteps. Each lates event is inspired by the collection or built heritage of the museum.
Examples of The Late Shift events include zombie-survival skills at North Down Museum in Bangor, a ‘Carnival of Delights’ in Newry and Mourne Museum (Bagenal’s Castle), sunrise yoga at Museum at the Mill in Newtownabbey, ‘Into the Mystic’ with Armagh County Museum, a 15th-century house party in Fermanagh County Museum at Enniskillen Castle, and an event which saw Ryan Vail headline ‘The Dark Tower’ in Derry-Londonderry’s Tower Museum.
