Ed Hicks

Ed Hicks has been a constant fixture of the London street art scene since 2005. After attending the very first Hit the North, he has been back for various commissions around the Belfast. His murals these days consist of large non figurative works evoking the sublime landscapes of the mid gothic period. Fire, brimstone, sunsets and eruptions, shot through with illumination.The work stands oddly apart as reaction against the ubiquity of post-modern pop iconography.
