HIT THE NORTH ARTISTS 2024
Qwynto
Qwynto has been drawing and painting since childhood. His mother, an established illustrator, encouraged him to draw. This developed into a love for storytelling through unique color palettes and engaging characters.
His travels heavily influence his work — the distinctive artwork of each city, the way people look and sound, and the design of streets and cafes. Passersby often overlook these mundane human interactions, but Qwytno uses these moments as fuel for new pieces of work. He is constantly observing, creating narratives and quirky characters that end up enticing onlookers and transforming spaces.
Qwynto began painting at a much larger scale after joining several mural festivals. He tends to work at all scales now, doing daily portrait studies on an iPad to weekends spent spray painting and practicing on walls around his home in London.
