Shane Sutton
Shane Suttons work includes a wide variety of media but he is best known for his larger street art paintings known as Spacer. ‘Spacer’ murals were influenced by an earlier collection of oil paintings entitled ‘That space in between’. In 2019 was awarded an art residency with the European Space Agency UK Climate Office. Collaborating with scientists he produced a number of paintings on the topic of climate awareness that were later exhibited at the space agency's Living Planet Symposium in Milan, 2019.
As the winner of the ‘Graffiti Without Gravity’ Street Art Competition in 2018 with ESA Holland the and the Hague Street Art Shane and got to sign prints of the winning work in weightlessness on a zero gravity flight.
Along with a passion for painting his other work includes illustration, graphic design, motion graphics, film editing, animation, cinematography and directing. In 2009 he was awarded a nomination as best editor at the Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTA) with the film also winning a total of nine national and international film festival awards. Shane lives and works in Dublin.
