An annual celebration of Street Art

Hit the North Street Art Festival was established by Seedhead Arts and the Community Arts Partnership in 2013 as a response to vacant space along North Street and is the largest street art festival in Ireland.

Our festival brings some of the world’s best artists to Belfast to paint big walls for a week, climaxing with a beautiful big jam on Union Street & Kent Street on the Sunday. The event has transformed the visual landscape across the city centre and Cathedral Quarter, with over 350 murals painted to date.

Recently the Sunday jam has become a beautiful block party as artists from across Ireland, the UK and Europe refresh the walls and hoardings in the area round the famous Sunflower Bar while tunes play. Since 2020, thanks to the generous support of Hennessy we’ve been able to not just survive but thrive through the pandemic and plans are well underway for our biggest event yet in 2022.

If you want to see the work from last years festival come on our Walking Tour or look it up on our interactive digital map.
